Martin Keating is the owner and director of the London Music School. Martin trained and worked as a sound engineer for Decca Records, Morgan Studios and BucksMusic and has been an engineer for over 40 years. Martin started his engineering career at Decca Records in the classical/easy listening department and has worked with The London Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bernard Hermann, Stokowski and legendary flamenco guitarist Paco Pena. Martin was one of the first engineers to embrace computers and new sound engineering technology when many of his contemporaries were unable to adapt to the changing industry environment. Derek Baxter is Head of Education and Head of Bass at the London Music School. Derek was a founding member of the LMS and was instrumental in writing our curriculum and spearheading our modern style of education. Jack began teaching at just 15 when he was invited to deliver a series of weekend workshops at TLMS exploring “modern electric guitar technique” by Kevin Keating, a teacher, mentor and a friend Jack made whilst studying at The Brit School. Jack continued to teach a long side his studies at Brit and ultimately I.C.M.P, as a private and visiting tutor around London as well as remaining a part time member of the TLMS family ultimately going on to become our head of guitar. Paul has been playing drums since the age of 10. I have been a professional musician and Peripatetic teacher for 22 years. I studied Double Bass and Piano at London College Of Music, and have worked professionally on both instruments.
