Steve has been a professional musician and Peripatetic teacher for 22 years. He studied Double Bass and Piano at London College Of Music, and has worked professionally on both instruments.

After graduating Music College in 1998, Steve started working as a musician for Holland America and Carnival UK, becoming a Musical Director in 2005.

In 2006/07 he recorded an album with producer Trevor Horn called ‘Set The Mood’ (ZTT Records) featuring the track ‘Sun goes down’ which reached No 4 in the UK charts.

In 2012 he worked with US Comedienne Joan Rivers as Musical Director for her UK shows.

Steve’s professional playing experience is primarily in Theatre and touring. Most recently he has worked with the following shows and artists:

In 2014 Steve gained a DipHe in Music For The Media. This is a course for composers who wish to learn how to implement their compositions in a wide range of modern media applications.

Although he enjoys the performance aspect, Steve’s main passion and focus is on teaching. He gets a real buzz from seeing students get to the next stage of their playing, and hopes to inspire them to continue with music for life.
