Pete Grogan is Head of Saxophone at the London Music School. Pete is one of the UK’s top sax teachers and has worked all over the UK producing some of the country’s most talented players. Pete began playing sax in school and following his initial musical education studied Jazz at Middlesex University. He has built an exceptional career as a freelance musician and teacher and, with contemporary quintet Led Bib, was the winner of the ‘Pete Whittingham Jazz Award’ in 2005. Pete has played with great Jazz names such as Soweto Kinch, Chris Batchelor and Ian Ballamy. He has also played and toured with reggae outfit ‘Rebelation’, the fusion group ‘The Nick Kellie Band’ and holds a residency with the Will Butterworth Trio. Pete is a committed teacher and has trained a number of budding European saxophonists.
